Creators of ice hotels built beautiful rooms and chambers
from ice and snow. Owing to the materials used, the hotels have a limited life
span. Normally, ice hotels consist of one central chamber with corridors
leading to the sleeping quarters. The central chamber features rich
decorations, ice carvings and furniture of ice. The craftsmanship is often
amazingly detailed and innovative. Rooms are not equipped with televisions,
warm cosy sofas or easy chairs. However, guests can enjoy rides on snowmobiles
or sledges pulled by dogs or reindeer. Most ice hotels offer ice sculpting
lessons. Several ice hotels also put up plays, concerts, outdoor spots for
guests to watch the Northern Lights and even ice chapels where couples can get
married. 119 words
