When I turned back towards the ship, I realised
that I was being carried away by the current. I released the ball and started
swimming towards the ladder, but gave up as the current was too strong. I swam back to the ball and used it as a life
raft. Two hours later, I shouted at a passing fishing boat but no one heard me
because of the boat’s motor. Then my legs started to cramp. I prayed to God to
help me survive. When I saw some crew on a barge loading cargo onto the ship, I
took a deep breath and shouted “TULUONG!”. Fortunately, someone heard me and
manoeuvred their boat towards me. They threw me a life ring attached to a rope
and I was saved. 129 words
